Stair renovation headwater of the river power plants Altenwörth and Greifenstein

Rehabilitation of damaged and necessary or deconstruction of damaged and no longer necessary stairways and gauges in the Altenwörth and Greifenstein reservoirs dating from the time of power plant construction (1980s). This is being done on the basis of an internally and externally coordinated concept and a requirements survey.

A requirements analysis was carried out and the construction contract was awarded to STRABAG AG. Construction will follow from June onwards and should be completed in autumn. No major obstruction of the Danube bicycle route is expected during construction, with the exception in the area of the Greifenstein power plant, tailwater left bank. A diversion and information concept has been drawn up for this purpose.
