In the course of the project the maintenance responsibilities of viadonau along the Morava and Thaya were reorganised. Reasons for this were changed legal bases (EU Directives, national environmental legislation) as well as personnel and financial prerequisites (profitability requirements). As a result, a guideline for the future alignment of the maintenance activities conducted by viadonau in the border sections of the Morava and Thaya is now available which includes a position statement for the negotiations in the Transboundary Water Commissions.
