Reports on the progress are compiled every two years to provide an insight into the implementation status of the Action Programme Danube 2030. These serve to monitor the effectiveness of the work packages described and are intended to present the projects and initiatives implemented in a transparent manner. Relevant stakeholders are invited to actively participate both in the implementation of the work packages and in the reflection on progress. Projects and activities for the implementation of work packages are described in terms of quality and, where possible, the specified impact indicators are quantified.
External influences can affect the impact indicators both positively and negatively. For example, the number of days with a fairway depth of 2.50 metres can decrease due to the water level of the Danube, even though the waterway management was implemented proactively. In addition to the quantitative impact indicators, an additional qualitative description of the impacts achieved can therefore be helpful in assessing their effectiveness.
