COnvention for WAste Management for Inland Navigation on the DAnube
Within the framework of the EU co-financed project CO-WANDA, the development of waste prevention measures on ships, the conception of an infrastructure network of reception points, the implementation of a polluter-pays financing model and possibilities for the use of River Information Services (RIS) were at the centre of the cooperation in the years 2012 - 2014. The concepts developed served as the technical content of an international agreement on the cross-border regulation of ship waste management in the Danube region.
