In addition, viadonau is continually installing and modernising systems to protect local populations against flooding along the Danube, March and Thaya.
With such a wide project scope, we take a holistic and integrative approach to development, whereby safety, economic and environmental interests are integrated with one another. In this way we are able to ensure efficient waterway management and modern flood protection whilst still providing the best possible care for the environment. We coordinate with the waterway authorities from all countries along the Danube during the implementation of international projects, hence ensuring a consistently high standard of performance and services along the whole river.
